About

The Department of Computer Applications started the Postgraduate programme in 1991. The MCA programme believes in creating a "want to learn" culture through state-of-the-art infrastructure. The department offers a leading-edge computer science education that combines the foundations of computer science with the high-demand applied technology skills necessary in today's evolving business world. The learning experience is wholesome, tailored to suit the needs of the industry and individual career development.

The primary focus of the curriculum is to impart technical "know-how" to students, to promote problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. The academic activities concentrate on helping the students to gain an excellent theoretical knowledge base and to implement them. Apart from the regular curriculum, students are also encouraged to take up certification courses both online and offline. The department works towards improving student's analytical frameworks, entrepreneurial skills, interpersonal and communication skills.

The academic excellence of the students is reflected in their placements in the corporate and engineering sectors. The students of the department are placed in various blue-chip companies like Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, HCL, L&T, SAP, etc. The department is very delighted to have its alumni placed abroad as well. The core values of the department help the students to develop their overall personality and make them worthy technocrats to compete and work at the global level.
